The end of the month and of the week brought part of the DRS-Architects team together in Iași, where Andrei Lefter — managing partner — was invited to #must2025 to talk about strategy in the business of architecture, alongside other representatives of the industry.
Andrei spoke about the fact that strategy is a process, and showed how this looks from inside the practice: about the need to bring order where growth tends to create chaos, and about how processes and procedures are not a brake, but the common language that lets teams work without losses.
And, last but not least, he spoke about how, when you want to build for the long term, you should first look inward: at people, at skills, at what can be scaled and what cannot. And then you look outward: partnerships, markets, opportunities, timing. Not at “which projects we would like”, but at “which projects can support the vision and the growth of the practice in the years to come”.
Because, in the view of DRS-Architects, strategy is a form of responsibility both towards the team and towards the projects you leave behind.
