A few days ago, the DRS-Architects team took to the HOF Awards stage to receive the Best of the Best Architectural Studio of the Year award, in an evening that confirmed the role of architecture in shaping projects with a real impact on cities, communities and the industry. During the same gala, we also had the honour of presenting the Best of the Best Refurbishment of the Year award to the winner of that category. For us, the evening meant more than recognition: it was a confirmation of the direction we have chosen and of the way we understand this profession.
The highlight of the evening for us was the moment when Andrei Lefter, managing partner at DRS-Architects, stepped on stage to receive the Best of the Best Architectural Studio of the Year award — the gala's most important distinction for an architecture practice. During the same event, we were honoured to hand the Best of the Best Refurbishment of the Year award to the winner of that category, a gesture all the closer to our values given that the refurbishment and transformation of existing buildings are central themes in our work.
This distinction, earned in competition with the most relevant practices in the region, speaks to a complete approach: from the quality of each individual project to the consistency of a practice built over time.
For our studio, this distinction is a validation of a way of working built over time: rigour in the process, coherence in decisions, responsibility towards context, and the ability to carry projects from vision to execution with the same attention to detail. We believe that good architecture is measured not only in striking images, but in the way a project responds to the real needs of people and of the place where it sits.
The Best of the Best Architectural Studio of the Year award confirms precisely this consistency — the ability to deliver, project after project, solutions that remain relevant long after the stage lights go out.
The award belongs to the entire DRS-Architects team, to our partners, collaborators and clients who gave us the trust to build complex, relevant and lasting projects. A distinction of this kind is, in essence, the result of collective work — of the architects, engineers and specialists who turn an idea into a built space, and of the clients who had the courage to invest in quality.
