The Aquatic Center project, which was developed in association with DSBA, was chosen as the WINNER of the design contest organized in 2013 by the Dolj County Council.

Dolj County Council promotes the idea of an architecture competition for designing an Aqua Park in the downtown of Craiova, on a sloping terrain.

The surroundings are represented by private houses and public institutions, mainly old buildings with certain architectural values.

Our proposal for the new entertainment and leisure facility of Craiova City was to embody the uniqueness and to create a new urban landmark by integrating the specific functions of the program in three impressive architectural volumes, focusing on the sensation of floating between sky and water .

The reinforced concrete overhangs that accommodate indoor and outdoor pools create breathtaking views both over the horizon and also over the rolling land underneath.
