Aqua Park Craiova — Public Leisure Space
The Craiova aquatic centre, developed in association with DSBA, won the architecture competition organised in 2013 by the Dolj County Council.

The promoter set out an ideas competition for a new leisure centre in the city of Craiova, on a site with a pronounced slope.
Our proposal integrated the functions specific to the programme into a set of striking architectural volumes, with the emphasis placed on the sensation of floating on the edge between sky and water. The pools are therefore built as reinforced concrete cantilevers, opening up wide views both towards the horizon line and over the land rolling away underneath.
