Hotel Mercure Bacău
The Mercure Hotel in Bacău is the first affiliate of an international chain to be developed in the area. This 4-star hotel will feature 80 rooms, an à la carte restaurant, an outdoor terrace, a bar, a 775-square-meter ballroom, and three meeting rooms dedicated to corporate events.

International standard, local culture
With a deep understanding of the project's context and space potential, the DRS-Architects team has developed customized solutions that harmoniously combine functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, with a focus on creating a spatial experience that meets the needs of end-users and reflects the investor's identity and vision.
For this project DRS-Architects team combined global hospitality standards with local culture, aiming to provide hotel guests with a unique and enriching experience. As a key cultural and economic landmark in Bacău, the project for the first international chain hotel in the city offers a perfect mix of luxury, practicality, and sustainability. Being part of the Arena Mall Bacău expansion, it will definitely have an impact on the city's growth with new residential, recreational, and commercial areas.
Located in Bacău, near a picturesque delta, Hotel Mercure stands as a testament to architectural innovation and cultural integration. A flagship project for DRS-Architects, the hotel represents the first affiliation of an international hotel chain in the region, offering 80 meticulously crafted rooms designed to cater to the needs of both leisure and business travelers.

A facade that breathes by the delta
Inspired by the natural surroundings of Bacău’s Delta and local craftsmanship, Hotel Mercure Bacău boasts an exterior facade designed with adaptable skins that enhance natural light and ventilation. This architectural concept mirrors the delicate texture of Inside, the hotel exudes warmth and authenticity through the use of natural materials such as wood, mineral plasters, and clay. Romanian folk art motifs adorn the interiors, featuring vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and geometric shapes showcased in woven carpets, embroidered textiles, and ceramic tiles.

The rooms: craft and light
The guest rooms are designed to provide a comfortable and memorable experience, celebrating Romania’s cultural heritage through local crafts like woodworking, weaving, and pottery. Dynamic and dimmable lighting enhances the ambiance, complementing thematically decorated spaces throughout the rooms.

From ballroom to spa
Guests can indulge in a range of amenities including an upscale à-la-carte restaurant, an inviting outdoor terrace, a sophisticated bar inspired by local vineyard nuances, a fully-equipped fitness center, and a luxurious SPA. For corporate events and gatherings, the hotel features a spacious 775 square-meter multifunctional event space alongside dedicated meeting rooms.
Mercure Hotels is a global presence, with an international network of over 900 hotels in more than 60 countries and a total of over 119,000 rooms.
